Ref: ST 166.024-67 'BIG TRIANGLE' + 1039 (68) 16
Launched in 1948 to coincide with the brand’s 100th anniversary, the OMEGA Seamaster is the oldest line of all the collections. The Seamaster is based on waterproof wrist watches made for the British Army at the end of the WWII.
The Seamaster 300 saga begins in 1957 simultaneously with the Railmaster and the Speedmaster, with the series CK 2913. In 1963 the reference 165.014 appears just after the 14755. This model correspond to the new reference 166.024 with Date and it has the particularity to have “lyre lugs”.
Moreover, the Dial has a “Big Triangle”. These models are very rare and sought after by collectors and can be seen on military models. This configuration with Naiade Crown and Silver Disc Date had been seen on ST 166.024-67.
